SOAP MAKING OILS AND BUTTERS
There are many oils available to the soapmaker. The essential nature of any soap is related to the oils and butters used in the saponification process. The oils and butters used in producing each soap are chosen to create the best formulations.
AVOCADO OIL is obtained from the pulp of the avocado fruit. It contains protein, amino acids, and vitamins A, D and E and this contributes to its moisturizing and healing properties.
CANOLA OIL is an oil obtained from a plant cultivar that is related to the mustard family. It is a moisturizing oil with high oil and protein content along with vitamins and minerals. It is easily absorbed into the skin.
COCOA BUTTER is a by-product taken from the cocoa bean when making chocolate. Cocoa butter lays down a protective layer that sooths and protects the skin. It locks in natural moisture, making it a good skin softener.
